LVT Flooring
Luxury vinyl tile: the look of wood or stone with the practicality of vinyl. Supplied and fitted, click or glue-down, across Ireland.
What LVT gets you
LVT, luxury vinyl tile, gives you convincing wood and stone looks in a floor that is waterproof, warm underfoot and quiet. Because it comes as lvt tiles and planks rather than sheet, a damaged tile can be replaced on its own, and patterns like herringbone are straightforward. We supply and fit LVT across Ireland in both domestic and commercial grades.
- Wood and stone looks, in plank and tile formats
- Click LVT and glue-down LVT, chosen to suit the room and subfloor
- Domestic and commercial wear grades
- Subfloor preparation and levelling included as part of the fit
The fit matters more than the tile
LVT is thin, so it shows every flaw in what is underneath. The difference between an LVT floor that looks sharp for years and one that telegraphs every bump is subfloor preparation, which is why levelling is part of our fit, not an extra. As LVT fitters we handle the whole job: assessment, preparation, layout and fitting.
Sourced to your spec
We source and fit Altro LVT alongside the commercial vinyl and safety flooring on our vinyl flooring page. If a spec or a showroom quote names a range, we can price the fit against it.
Supply and fit, or fit only. We can supply the material and fit it, or fit material you supply. For contractors and trade enquiries, see supply and fit.
Common questions
Is LVT better than laminate?
They solve different problems. LVT is fully waterproof, quieter underfoot and handles kitchens and bathrooms where laminate can swell with moisture. Laminate can suit dry rooms well. For most Irish kitchens, bathrooms and halls, LVT is the more practical choice.
Do you need underlay for LVT?
Glue-down LVT bonds directly to a prepared subfloor with no underlay. Some click LVT systems use a specific thin underlay or have one built in. What matters most is a flat, sound subfloor, and preparing that is part of our fit.
Click or glue-down LVT?
Glue-down is the usual choice for commercial floors and high-traffic areas; click can suit domestic rooms and floating floors. We recommend based on the room, the subfloor and how the space is used.
