Engineered or solid?
Both are real wood on the surface. Engineered boards are built in layers, which makes them more stable with changes in temperature and humidity. Solid boards are one piece of timber through and through. Which suits your space depends on the room, the subfloor and how it will be used. We will give you an honest recommendation when we see the job.

Common questions
What is the difference between engineered and solid wood flooring?
Engineered boards have a real wood surface over a layered core, which makes them more stable with changes in temperature and humidity. Solid boards are a single piece of timber. We recommend the right one based on your room and subfloor.
Can you fit herringbone floors?
Yes. We fit herringbone and other pattern layouts as well as straight planks.
Do you check the subfloor before fitting?
Always. A wood floor is only as good as what is underneath it, so we assess and prepare the subfloor before any boards go down.
